1/5/2009 - One Parent's Perspective

Parent from Picayune:

I just wanted to say a little more about First Priority and tell you about the impact it has had on my daughter's life.... before she was involved with First Priority, she was a Christian, but would never participate at church. She was extremely shy! When our youth group became involved with First Priority I saw an abrupt change in them all... they all became passionate about God and the gospel and bringing souls to Christ and changing their generation. It wasn't just my daughter... it was nearly the whole youth group. And they haven't lost that passion, either. Even though my daughter is now homeschooled and can't participate as much with First Priority, since alot of their meetings are on the school campus, she's still one of the most fired-up, faith-filled Christians I know. Our pastor calls her a 'rock'- she's very committed to everything she puts her hand to and never misses a service or a chance to serve.

I said all this because I believe that God is going to use this generation in a mighty way. I believe that they will be the ones that are going to make a difference in bringing this world to Christ before He returns. Not that our generation can't, but as we get older we tend to get more tired (at least I do!) and full of responsibilities and obligations that tie us down. My husband and I will be supporting this organization.
